Humans of LBCC: Nathan Crane

My Name is Nathan Crane, I'm a 23 year-old Art Major at LBCC, I'm looking forward to becoming a Videogame Design Major when I transfer to the University of Oregon, and I have been going to LBCC for four years now.

Most of my life experiences haven't been too harsh on me for most of my life, It all started off when I was born in Montana, I was diagnosed with an Autism spectrum known as Asperger's Syndrome, so I usually had a hard time learning my studies later on when I was old enough to go to school. My parents were divorced three times, the first time was before I was born, and my older sister wanted them to get back together again, the second time was around when I was in grade school, and I was the one who wanted them to get back together, and the last time my parents were divorced, I was in middle school, and my sister and I finally understood why our parents couldn't get along with each other. After I was done with Middle School, me and my mom decided to leave Montana because we couldn't stand to live with the snowy terrain anymore, so we decided to move to Arizona. While I was living in Arizona, I went to High School for three years, got my first job at a Dairy Queen, and I got my first car. After my third year of High School, my career interest was to become a Videogame Designer for Nintendo since I have always liked to do more for my artistic skill, and I have always liked to play games made by Nintendo. So me and my mom decided to move to Oregon since it is close to Washington, which is where the closest Nintendo Company is in America. Once I had graduated at South Albany High School, I was ready to find a college that would help me get the education I needed for Videogame design. The Art Institute in Portland seemed promising, but I would have needed to go to a community college for my basic studies, so when I moved to Salem, I tried to apply at Chemeketa Community College, but I didn't want to pay for parking while paying for tuition, so I found another college that would help me out a whole lot more than Chemeketa would, so I applied at the ITT-Tech in Salem, and I attended there for nearly one and a half years. The only downfall to ITT-Tech was that the institute decided to close down after 50 years of service, which left me and plenty of other students around the US who went to ITT-Tech having to start over at another college. So I decided to go to LBCC to start over, and for the four years I have attended here at LBCC, my studies have payed off, and I just got accepted into U of O for Fall term this Year, so once I am done with this term, I am going to do my best to prepare myself to achieve my goal to graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Videogame Design, then I'm on my way to becoming a Videogame Designer to achieve my career goals.

Ever since this Corona Virus outburst has become an issue throughout the world, I have been doing my best by staying at home to keep away from people who could possibly carry the Corona Virus, and since LBCC classes are held online, all of my time at home is occupied, especially when I'm taking three course for this term. Whenever I'm not at home, I have to go to work at Walmart. What I do at Walmart is push the shopping carts, so I am doing my best to stay healthy and staying clean for my own safety. That includes keeping the shopping carts clean and safe for the customers as well. When there isn't so much shopping carts to bring into the store, I am usually called to help customers with things such as helping customers in need of help to unload groceries, carrying heavy merchandise to the customer's car, or helping customers bring in heavy merchandise that need to be refunded.

Photo Credit: https://www.vooks.net/nintendos-new-switch -experience-a-new-adventure-game-called-ring-fit-adventure/ During the month of September, Nintendo released a trailer for two new game accessories that are for Nintendo's latest best selling product, the Nintendo Switch. The media was confused on what these accessories could possibly be for, and if they're for another fitness game like the Wii Fit. One week later, Nintendo released another trailer, which described what this equipment was being used for, and Nintendo's newest fitness game; Ring Fit Adventure.   In this blog session, I'm going to talk about how Nintendo's latest product will add on to the marketing value to the company; why this product will catch the consumers attention; and how successful this product could be when compared to Nintendo's other marketing products. For more information about Nintendo's Ring Fit Adventure, there will be a link at the end of the blog that r
